Prograf XL ®
Composition : Prolonged Released Tacrolimus (as monohidrat)
Indication: Prophylaxis of transplant rejection in adult kidney or liver allograft recipients; treatment of liver or kidney allograft rejection in patients previously received other immunosuppressive agents.
Prophylaxis of kidney transplant rejection: initially 0.20-0.30 mg/kg/day administered once daily in the morning.
Prophylaxis of liver transplant rejection: initially 0.10-0.20 mg/kg/day administered once daily in the morning.
Conversion of Prograf-treated patients to Prograf XL: allograft transplant patients maintained on twice daily Prograf capsules dosing requiring conversion to once daily Prograf XL should be converted on a 1:1 (mg:mg) total daily dose basis. Prograf XL should be adminstered in the morning.
Contraindication: Pregnancy. Hypersensitivity to tacrolimus or other macrolides.
Adverse Reactions: Infections, abnormal kidney function, metabolism and nutrition disorders, Central Nervous System disorders, Gastrointestinal disorders, Respiratory system disorders, skin disorders.
Drug Interaction: in combination with Cyclosporine A.
Preparations: Cap 0.5mg x 5x 10's . 1 mg x 5 x 10's .
