Composition : Beraprost Na
Indication : Improvement of ulcers, pain & feeling of coldness associated with chronic arterial occlusion. Primary pulmonary Hypertension.
Dosage: Improvement of ulcers, pain & feeling of coldness associated with chronic arterial occlusion, Adult : 120 mcg daily in 3 divided doses.
Primary pulmonary Hypertension: 60 mcg daily in 3 divided doses. Gradually increase dose if needed, up to a max of 180 mcg daily in 3-4 divided doses.
Take after meals.
Contraindication: Patients w/ hemorrhage. Pregnancy.
Special Precautions : Patients on anticoagulants, antiplatelet or fibrinolytic agents. Menstruating women, patients w/ bleeding tendency or diathesis.
May enhance bleeding tendency. Elderly. Children. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reaction : Headache, hot flushes, GI upset,bleeding tendency, dizziness. Increased liver enzymes, triglycerides & bilirubin.
Drug Interaction : Warfarin, aspirin, ticlopidine, urokinase.Prostaglandin I preparation
